David Giles shows an interest in the little moments of life. Inspired by the slow cinema of Tarkovsky, and the ambient music of Brian Eno, Giles understands that people are not just their highs and their lows, but also all of their day-to-day errands. David was the recipient of the William Shanebeck Award for Excellence in Creative Writing (2020) and currently resides in Portland, Oregon. His first novel, There Once Were Orange Groves, is available now on Amazon from Quoir Publishing.
